She can do it, she thinks. It[ch8217]ll be alright. She[ch8217]ll be fine, she can feel affection, maybe love for this guy who seems to be so hopelessly in love with her.
She can enjoy it while it lasts. She can be a grown woman instead of a little girl. Everything will be just fine.

And then, all of a sudden, she starts crying. Because if you are not sure of something, it shouldn[ch8217]t be made so public, because she is so relieved that the woman whose acceptance she[ch8217]s been wishing for and who actually started behaving normally towards her, will be gone for a whole year, because it is all so complicated, this tangle of interpersonal relations, this dangerous mess, and because all she has achieved suddenly seems so fragile.
Suddenly, going her own way seems to interfere with itself.
And when did she let herself get so spoilt, and why does she still care anyway? Oh, how she cares.
