And if she should be so lucky
Why can't she feel like it?
[only lonely, tired, sorry.]
If it's not her fault
Then why does she feel so guilty?
[responsibility, sorrow, fear.]
And if she can't do anything
Why does she still care?
[affection, friendship, love.]
If her life has changed so much
Why does she still feel stuck in the past?
AND IF SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE,
WHY CAN'T SHE BE HAPPY?
