... having to leave this world,
                    knowing that you haven't left any footprints in the sand, that you haven't changed anything.

... leaving it quietly,
                    like a leaf in autumn falling without a sound and without anyone to notice.

Time passes by and your face is just another one in the crowd...
 because this world doesn't care about your misery or any of your feelings at all, it just continues turning.

... leaving this place,
                    knowing that you didn't mean anything, leaving without having loved or having been loved.

No one ever noticed that you existed, and that's why you won't leave even the tiniest gap in life itself.

Sehr schön ausgedrückt, vor allem der 1. Teil.

Den Schluss find ich eher traurig. - without having loved or having been loved -
Ja, das ist dann schon sehr traurig, wenn das so wäre.
Und ich denke schon, dass jeder eine kleiner Lücke hinterlässt...
